Open Until Filled This is a Full-Time position with the Bureau of Information and Technology - South Dakota Public Broadcasting (SDPB). For more information on the Bureau of Information and Technology - SDPB, please visit https://sdpb.org . South Dakota Public Broadcasting is a statewide, joint radio and television network, that is also South Dakota's NPR and PBS affiliates. We seek an energetic, organized, and goal-focused professional to operate and monitor television and radio transmitting equipment. Incumbents will complete this by reading meters, observing transmitter components and observing equipment for possible problems. This position also assists in minor maintenance of broadcast equipment and switching of video and audio sources. As well as schedules and facilitates streaming services across multiple state facilities and platforms. Requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including overnight hours, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7/365 continuous operations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Ability to work independently without continuous supervision is a must.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
broadcast operations; Federal Communication Commission rules and regulations; IP networking; electronics terminology.
Ability to:
navigate MS Windows folders and files; use MS Office products; follow broadcast station program schedules; take meter readings; work independently. This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
