Job Description includes: Installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of base stations, repeaters, remote controls, multiplexers, antenna systems, microwave systems, battery backup systems, and mobile installations. Designing, assisting with system design, and supporting the sales department with technical support will also be required.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Land Mobile Radio (LMR), two-way radio, or public safety communications (to minimize initial onboarding time) is ideal. 2-year degree in an electronics field (or equivalent field experience) is highly desirable. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Proven capability with installation, wiring, and upfitting of two-way radios, mobile data equipment, and public safety vehicles (police cars, fire trucks, etc.). Strong troubleshooting skills in DC electronics, RF systems, and two-way radio mobile and base equipment (beyond basic entry-level knowledge). Knowledge of, or experience with, computer networking, IP routing, and Voice/Radio over IP (RoIP) is highly beneficial. Strong computer skills required, with the ability to program, troubleshoot, and perform system diagnostics on complex communication systems using manufacturer software. Demonstrated experience with dispatch consoles, wireless data, and trunked radio systems.

Successful candidates will be:

Motivated self-starters capable of taking initiative with minimal supervision. Customer-service oriented with a strong work ethic. Professional in appearance and direct client interactions. Able to work independently in the field as well as in a team environment on large installation projects requiring skills in cabling, connectorization, and system optimization. Willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and able to work after normal business hours on occasion, with some overnight travel. Ideally, candidates would possess an industry license or certification from a testing agency (FCC, ETA, FICA, or NARTE).
