Job Description
We're looking for a skilled copywriter to join Matador Studios on a part-time, temporary basis, with the potential to grow into a copy editor role reviewing and managing AI-developed copy over time.
You'll be responsible for creating compelling titles, descriptions, metadata, thumbnail copy, website landing pages, marketing copy and video/voiceover scripts that help our content reach larger audiences across YouTube, streaming platforms, websites and social media.
We're looking for someone with a strong copywriting background and a sharp editorial eye, who can write clean, compelling copy across formats and platforms. Ability to use AI writing tools like Claude and ChatGPT is expected and supported. We'll help you build these skills as part of the role if you need to.
What You'll Do
Write video and voiceover scripts for original content, branded videos and other editorial projects.
Write and edit titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnail text, landing pages and marketing copy.
Apply YouTube SEO and platform best practices to maximize performance.
Collaborate with the creative team to keep copy on brand, accurate and engaging.
Use AI writing tools such as Claude and ChatGPT as part of your regular workflow to support drafting and research.
What We're Looking For
Strong copywriting and editing skills with a proven body of work.
Experience writing for YouTube, streaming or digital publishing.
Solid understanding of metadata optimization and SEO best practices.
Comfortable using AI writing tools like Claude and ChatGPT, or ready to learn quickly with our support.
Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently on a part-time schedule.
