Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Co-Worship & Creative Director is a dual-lane leadership role at Legacy Church. This person joins our existing Worship Director to co-lead the worship department- sharing Sunday morning leadership responsibilities as the church prepares to launch a second campus. When that campus launches, this person will lead worship there. Alongside their worship responsibilities, this director carries full oversight of the Creative department
- including communications, marketing, digital media, and merchandise.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role requires someone who is both a gifted worship leader and a creative systems thinker. You are equally comfortable on a stage with a microphone and in a planning meeting reviewing design mockups or marketing strategy. You carry a strong aesthetic vision, you communicate it clearly, and you work well under multiple leaders. You thrive in an environment where your lane can flex based on what the church needs most.WORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES SUNDAY MORNING LEADERSHIP
Lead congregational worship on Sunday mornings as part of a rotating worship leadership team Develop and execute setlists in alignment with the preaching calendar and leadership vision Maintain a high standard of excellence in vocal performance, stage presence, and congregational engagement Own Sunday morning rehearsal flow, sound check, and worship team readiness Collaborate with the Production Director on in-room experience- lighting, sound, visuals, and stage design
WORSHIP TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Recruit, develop, and lead a rotating team of volunteer worship leaders and vocalists Lead or co-lead weekly rehearsals with the Music Director and worship team Provide coaching and feedback to raise the overall level of the worship ministry Collaborate with the Music Director on musical arrangements, keys, and song selection Cultivate a culture of prayer, excellence, and unity within the worship teamCAMPUS LAUNCH PREPARATION
This role is intentionally structured as a co-lead position- you will share the worship department with our current Worship Director, learning our culture, sound, and systems together as we build toward a second campus launch Develop a deep understanding of Legacy Church's worship identity, values, and standards so you can carry them independently at a new location Actively participate in multisite planning conversations as the campus launch timeline develops Build relationships across all ministry departments•the future campus pastor will need to understand how the whole church functions, not just worship
CREATIVE DEPARTMENT OVERSIGHT
This director has full ownership of the Creative department. The Asst. Director of Operations provides administrative support- managing vendor contracts, timelines, budgets, and logistics
- so this role can stay focused on creative vision, quality standards, and output.
DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP
Set the creative vision and direction for all church-facing content and communications Directly oversee the Digital Media Lead and Merch Leads Coordinate with 3rd-party creative vendors- designers, photographers, videographers, and branding partners
- with logistical support from the Asst.
DIGITAL AND VISUAL CONTENT
Oversee the creation of all digital content: social media graphics, sermon series artwork, event assets, and motion graphics Maintain consistency across all platforms- online, in-room, and print Ensure merchandise design reflects Legacy Church's brand and vision Oversee the aesthetic quality of the online broadcast experience in coordination with the streaming team
SERIES & CAMPAIGN PLANNING
Partner with church leadership on the creative direction of each sermon series- titles, artwork, color palettes, and overall feel Build and manage seasonal creative calendars

- with adequate lead time Communicate creative direction clearly to internal team members and external vendors Communications & Marketing
CHURCH COMMUNICATIONS
Own all external communications- email newsletters, SMS campaigns, push notifications, and announcement strategy Build and maintain a weekly communication calendar in coordination with church leadership and staff Write, edit, or oversee all mass communication copy
- ensuring consistency with Legacy Church's voice and brand Manage communication platforms and tools used by the church
MARKETING & BRAND GROWTH
Drive community awareness and church growth through digital marketing strategy Manage and oversee Legacy Church's social media presence Develop and execute paid digital advertising campaigns for church growth and event promotion Track and report on marketing performance- reach, engagement, and first-time visit conversion Manage marketing budget in coordination with the Executive Pastor of Operations and Asst.
PODCAST OVERSIGHT
Oversee the execution and growth of the Overchurched Podcast- ensuring consistent output, expanding reach, and maintaining alignment with Legacy Church's brand and mission Oversee the Podcast Team Lead, setting standards for production quality, content calendar, and release schedule Collaborate with church leadership on episode topics, guest selection, and messaging direction Ensure podcast artwork, promotional assets, and social content are consistent with Legacy Church's creative standards Identify growth opportunities•new platforms, audience development, and cross-promotion with church content Review episode output for brand alignment before publication
CORE COMPETENCIES
Gifted worship leader with demonstrated experience leading congregations of 500+ Strong creative instincts and aesthetic sensibility- an eye for design, brand, and visual storytelling Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate vision to both artists and administrators Highly collaborative
- thrives in shared leadership and dual-reporting structures Proficient with creative tools: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent Comfortable with digital marketing, social media strategy, and email communication platforms Self-directed and organized

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3-5
years of experience in worship ministry at a mid-to-large church Experience in creative direction, marketing, or brand management Experience leading and developing volunteer teams Bachelor's degree in music, worship arts, communications, or related field preferred- not required Familiarity with multisite church models a plus APPLY HERE
