Why This Role Is Different Most designer roles hand you a spec and a lane and keep you there. This one won't. The Luxury Pergola is a growing, family-owned manufacturer of premium pergola kits, and we need a senior brand designer who can take a brief and run with it. You'll own design execution across our website, paid ads, social, email, print, and video — working directly with our Creative Director, who sets direction and then gets out of your way. Not as a production artist following instructions but as the person who makes the work happen. You'll report to our Creative Director and work hand-in-hand with our marketing team on social, web, and paid campaigns. You're joining at a pivotal moment. We're a brand on the rise, kicking off a full brand refresh this fall, and you'll have a real hand in building what comes next. As the team grows, there's a genuine path toward art direction and creative leadership. You'll be our first dedicated designer. The design seat is yours to own. This is a great fit if you're the kind of designer who figures things out, takes initiative before being asked, and gets energized by owning outcomes rather than waiting for instructions. It's not the right fit if you need detailed direction on every project or prefer a highly structured corporate environment. What You'll Do You'll own design execution across our core channels: Partner with the Creative Director on our brand refresh: helping build the brand guide, typography and color systems, and updated brand assets we'll use for years.
Design e-commerce and web visuals:
product page graphics, homepage banners, landing page assets, and email creative (plus light edits directly in Shopify). Create paid ad visual creative and social content for Facebook, Instagram, Google, and other channels, including ongoing promotional campaigns. Extend our brand across supporting collateral and assets for dealers. Edit, retouch, and transform photography and footage from our professional shoots into a library of social posts, digital ads, and landing page assets. Produce short-form video and motion graphics for ads and social.
Maintain brand consistency:
colors, typography, and style across everything we publish. Manage your own projects and deadlines, collaborating with the creative team on priorities and feedback. You won't be expected to know every tool or channel on day one. Platforms are trainable. What we can't train is talent, taste, initiative, and whether you take ownership of your work.
Your first six months:
take over day-to-day production across our channels and partner with the Creative Director to redesign and refresh the brand we'll use for years to come. Who We're Looking For Above all, you need a strong portfolio. One that shows range across digital and print and a clean, premium aesthetic. If the work is there, we can get you up to speed on everything else. Beyond that, we're looking for someone who works independently and takes ownership. You'll wear multiple hats and "that's not my job" isn't something you'd ever say. Attention to detail isn't a buzzword here. It's the job. You'll be the last set of eyes before work ships, and we need someone the Creative Director can trust to send things out the door flawless without a second review. If a misaligned logo or an off-brand hex code physically bothers you, you'll fit in well.
The litmus test:
if the Creative Director went heads-down for two weeks, would the design work keep shipping on brand, on time, without anyone chasing you? If that sounds like how you already work, keep reading. Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally with e-commerce, retail, or a consumer brand. Experience contributing to a brand refresh or building brand guidelines. A portfolio demonstrating range across digital and print — including at least one brand identity or brand system you helped build (guide pages, type and color specs, templates), not just finished pieces. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Comfort designing in Figma for web and layout work. Experience in fast, high-volume social and ad production. Working knowledge of video / motion tools (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci). Strong organization and the ability to manage several projects at once without close supervision. This is a 100% on-site role at our Noblesville, IN office, 8:30-5, Monday through Friday. Nice to Have (But Not Required) Photography and/or videography skills. We run professional shoots, but a designer who can also capture original content is a major plus.

cutting sizzle reels, short-form video, or long-form YouTube content would be a major value add. Experience with luxury brands, architecture, outdoor living, or home improvement. Experience designing within Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms. Background at small companies or agencies where you owned your lane.
