Art Director

A leading retail brand is undergoing a major digital transformation and is seeking a Photo Art Director to lead the evolution of PDP (Product Detail Page) photography. This role sits at the intersection of art direction, photography, and digital commerce , driving a new visual standard that balances elevated creative with operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead art direction for PDP photography, reimagining product imagery across a wide range of collections and categories Own shot list creation and provide hands-on direction on set, translating brand vision into executable outputs Develop collection-specific creative direction within established brand guidelines and operational frameworks Direct end-to-end photo shoots (pre-production through capture), ensuring excellence in lighting, styling, composition, and framing Partner closely with Creative Leadership to bring elevated, brand-right concepts to life Collaborate with production teams to deliver high-quality imagery on time and within budget Maintain a strong on-set presence, making real-time creative decisions and adjustments Operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining a consistent creative standard Drive collaboration across photographers, stylists, producers, editors, and cross-functional partners Qualifications 5+ years of experience in art direction within a shoot-heavy environment (eCommerce, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle preferred) Proven experience directing photography on set with strong decision-making capability Strong understanding of PDP photography and digital performance best practices Exceptional eye for lighting, composition, proportion, and styling Ability to balance creative vision with speed, scale, and operational constraints Experience working within tight timelines and high-volume production environments Highly collaborative with strong communication skills Demonstrated ability to thrive in evolving, transformation-focused environments #PSI1

Pay:

$75,400.54 - $90,804.95 per year
