Job Description
The Planet Group is seeking an Associate Creative Director (ACD) of Copy to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.
Pay :
$53-58/hr depending on experienceLocation :
Remote or hybrid onsite in Irvine, CA (T-TR onsite) If remote, must work PST hoursACD of Copy Responsibilities:
Lead copy development on multiple brands and work closely with Editorial, Art, and Account partners, along with Creative Management to ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of creative work, the value of services, and responsiveness to their needs Work with Art partner to produce and lead Brave, Authentic, Inspiring ideas and multi-channel tactics Act as the lead writer on print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervision All copy must be clear, powerful, and free of errors, as well as correctly referenced and annotated Manage and work independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects Provide constructive feedback to improve others' work Actively participate in client meetings Participate in MLR reviews as needed Attend market research as appropriate Contribute to strategy discussions; leads development of brand messages and positioning Understand that advertising is a service industry that sometimes requires extra time and effort to meet client commitments Assign writers best suited for each project based on ability and workload Manage your own workload and those of direct reports to maximize productivity and maintain billable hours Work closely with Art, Editorial, Traffic and Project Management to ensure jobs stay on track with deadlines and budgets Proactively seek feedback from supervisor and Creative leaders Provide written and face-to-face feedback for annual performance reviews, as well as ongoing feedback throughout the year Identify and interview prospective creative candidates Maintain strong client relationships Work with Account to grow business with existing clients Lead the copywriters in development of concepts and execution of all projects Assure that all supervised copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain the expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goals Consistently demonstrate to clients an understanding of their brands and marketing challenges and is responsive to their strategic and creative needs Present copy with enthusiasm, internally and externally, to gain buy-in and negotiate changes Represent the agency at client meetings; co-presents creative work with Art partnerACD of Copy Qualifications:
7-10+ years' pharmaceutical advertising agency experience BA degree A proven track record of creative ability and judgment Successful client contact experience Ability to work collaboratively with Art and Account Excellent presentation skills Previous experience managing writers Strong marketing and strategic abilities Deep understanding of science and healthcare Strong understanding of MLR review processes and requirements Exceptional copywriting skills in all mediaBenefits
