POSITION SUMMARY
The Creative Manager leads the development and execution of visual, digital, and interactive brand experiences across 5K Holdings and its operating companies. This position transforms approved brand strategy, messaging, and business priorities into compelling creative concepts, campaigns, content, and experiences, providing creative direction across graphic design, social media, photography, video, websites, motion graphics, presentations, and emerging digital platforms. This individual manages creative projects from concept through final delivery, develops creative talent, directs internal and external production resources, and ensures all work meets standards for quality, originality, and brand alignment. It is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced organization where priorities shift quickly and multiple projects run at once. The right person creates clarity within ambiguity, decides with sound judgment, and confidently presents and defends creative recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Translate approved brand strategies, messaging, and business objectives into compelling visual, digital, and interactive experiences. Establish creative direction for campaigns, social media, websites, photography, video, design, presentations, and multimedia content. Develop creative concepts, briefs, storyboards, content plans, visual systems, and production schedules. Lead creative projects from concept through production, review, approval, delivery, and performance evaluation. Manage and develop creative employees, specialists, freelancers, agencies, and production vendors. Review creative work for originality, quality, audience relevance, technical execution, and brand alignment. Provide clear, actionable feedback while developing the capabilities of assigned team members. Present and defend creative concepts and recommendations to executives and senior leadership. Identify missing information and create structure when requests are incomplete or unclear. Manage multiple companies, audiences, deadlines, stakeholders, and approval processes at once, keeping creative files and digital assets organized. Evaluate creative performance to improve future work, and stay current on creative practices, production technology, and emerging platforms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five or more years in creative direction, design, digital media, multimedia production, or a related field, including experience leading projects or people. A strong portfolio demonstrating creative direction across design, video, photography, social, web, or multimedia. Proven ability to translate brand strategy and business objectives into original, high-quality creative work. Strong project-management skills, managing multiple companies, deadlines, stakeholders, and approvals at once. Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and comparable design, video, and motion software. Ability to give clear, actionable creative feedback and develop team members and vendors. Strong judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, originality, and brand alignment. Confidence presenting and defending creative recommendations to executives and senior leadership. Professional, dependable, and proactive, and available for occasional after-hours events, project-location visits, and travel as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience leading creative for multiple brands, business units, locations, or companies. Business-to-business, construction, manufacturing, or professional-services experience. Hands-on capability in two or more of graphic design, video editing, photography, motion graphics, or website production. Experience directing internal creative teams alongside freelancers, agencies, and production vendors. Familiarity with digital asset management, brand systems, and creative production workflows.
