What You'll Do:
Commission a high volume of artwork by identifying freelance illustrators, providing ongoing art direction, maintaining strong partner relationships, and delivering regular status updates to the Lead Art Director. Develop art direction skills through hands-on mentorship from Lead Art Directors, actively seeking and applying feedback while building confidence, creative judgment, and ownership. Apply foundational knowledge of artistic principles, with guidance and mentorship from Lead Art Directors, to source artwork that supports Dungeons & Dragons publishing schedules and brand standards. Collaborate closely with fellow Art Directors and cross-functional project partners, communicating content needs and project updates clearly while ensuring artwork remains aligned with the creative vision established by Lead Art Directors.
What You'll Bring:
1+ yr commercial art experience. A portfolio demonstrating creative vision with a cinematic lens. Strong communication skills and capable of giving and receiving feedback. High attention to detail and organization skills Knowledge of current fantasy illustration and modern print/press techniques and processes. Have an interest in discovering diverse, emerging artists Comfortable using Adobe Photoshop, proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook). Nice to

Familiarity with accessibility standards in publishing or interactive storytelling. Knowledge of D&D's tone, audience, and content structure, or similar genre entertainment brands. Comfortable working across print, digital, and marketing platforms as needed. Love for entertainment, other TTRPG brands, and exploring new avenues in traditional graphic design practices. The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package. Pay Range $80,200 - $100,700 USD Employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package, depending on role, location, and eligibility.
