Master Association for Rancho La Quinta is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, energetic, and organized Part-Time Bocce Ball Coordinator to oversee all aspects of our bocce ball league and events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, loves sports, and is committed to creating a fun and engaging experience for members and guests. Rancho La Quinta is a premier private gated community in the Coachella Valley, known for its exceptional amenities, beautifully maintained grounds, and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in providing first-class recreational programs and experiences for our members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Arrive early to set up bocce courts and ensure they are ready for play. Inspect courts and equipment regularly to maintain safety and quality standards. Coordinate match play, maintain schedules, and record scores accurately. Maintain attendance records, game results, and incident reports. Ensure fair play by enforcing league rules and conducting neutral measurements when necessary. Answer member questions, explain rules, and resolve disputes professionally and impartially. Process POS transactions accurately, collect applicable fees from members and guests, and assist with billing inquiries in coordination with the Director. Engage with members and players to gather feedback and support continuous improvement of the bocce program. Coordinate tournaments, theme nights, leagues, and special events to encourage participation and community engagement. Promote bocce activities through email communications and on-site materials. Monitor equipment inventory and request replacements or repairs as needed. Prepare end-of-season reports and program summaries. Handle phone inquiries professionally and provide exceptional customer service. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and POS systems for registrations, reporting, and sales transactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment, including light shop cleaning duties. Project a positive and professional image to members and guests at all times. Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain safe work habits. Foster teamwork and cooperation among colleagues to support efficient operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Knowledge of bocce ball and its rules is required. Experience officiating, coaching, or managing bocce leagues is highly desirable. Experience building, organizing, or growing a sports or recreation program is a strong plus. Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, recreation, customer service, or community programming is preferred. Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with members of all ages and skill levels. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during league play and events. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and assist with court and equipment setup and breakdown. Passion for sports, recreation, and community engagement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and POS systems preferred. Schedule This is a seasonal, part-time position. Candidates must be available to work league play, tournaments, special events, and occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
