  • Primary Function
  • We are seeking a multi skilled Event Technician for the delivery of live event production services in alignment with a premiere technology client at their offices in San Francisco.

This role is responsible for working with a team of event production professionals to deliver end-to-end live event production. The ideal candidate should have a high technical background with previous experience in production systems. The ideal candidate has experience with Ross switchers, Blackmagic switchers, lighting, PTZ cameras and controllers, and Yamaha DM7 audio console. The candidate requires experience in the successful planning and delivering of live events, strong problem solving skills, training others, experience with integrated systems, and a desire to learn new skills and keep up with advancements in technology.

  • Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides top-class customer service skills, being able to explain our services to technical and non-technical stakeholdersResponsible, along with other Technicians and Specialists, for the successful planning, staffing, and delivery of event requests, held within the client's fully equipped event centerWork closely alongside external AV vendors and freelancers, ensuring the needs of the internal stakeholder are fully communicated and metAble to operate, configure, and troubleshoot a range of integrated systems including Ross switching console, Blackmagic switching console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, and Yamaha DM7 console.

Able to operate other event audio-visual systems as requiredDiagnosing and troubleshooting equipment when and where necessaryAssists in maintaining audio visual equipment as required.



Escalates equipment failures to appropriate in-house teams and assists with the resolution as needed to maintain service levelsEnsures SOPs are developed and followed, and that contingency planning is included in event supportIs involved in special projects or assignments as allocated and executes them within the given timelineContributes to R D efforts, identifying ways in which we can improve quality of output, efficiency through automation/tooling and process improvementsIs responsible for managing technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution and post eventAble to demonstrate advanced knowledge of running a full scale eventSetting the gold standard for delivering high-quality service to our clientsAdheres to broadcast standards for remote and recorded attendeesUnderstands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfullyDevelop and support relationships within both the client and wider Team People teamPerforms other ad hoc duties as required by the business

  • Skills & Qualifications
  • Highly proficient with Ross and Blackmagic switching consoles, PTZ Cameras and controllers, and Yamaha DM7 consoleExperience working in a live event and broadcast environmentAn appetite for discovering new technologies and how they can be implemented to enhance the attendee experienceAble to communicate effectively and professionallyExcellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional teamSelf starter that can demonstrate being open to learningUnderstanding and experience of various event formatsA strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving abilities while under the pressure of a live event environment •Education & Experience•Minimum 5-10 years of professional technical live event experienceCertifications such as DES, CTS, PMP, or similar are encouraged but not requiredBachelor's degree in media production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred
