Job Description

DJ Instructor (Youth Programs, Grades 3-8) Sound Club - Creative Music Studio Part time: after-school hours About Sound Club Sound Club is a forward-thinking music studio specializing in sound design, music production, and hands-on audio education for young creators. We believe learning music should be interactive, inspiring, and fun. Our DJ program is a core part of our curriculum, giving students the opportunity to explore rhythm, mixing, and live performance in a supportive and creative environment. What You'll Do Teach DJ fundamentals, including beatmatching, transitions, mixing, and performance techniques Introduce students to DJ software such as djay and Rekordbox Guide and supervise students using DJ controllers and studio equipment Design engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for Grades 3-8 Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment Organize showcases or mini-performances to celebrate student progress and build confidence What We're Looking For Proficiency with DJ software (djay and Rekordbox) and hardware Experience working with children or teens (teaching, mentoring, or coaching) Passion for music, DJ culture, and creative education Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, adaptability, and the ability to make learning fun and accessible Nice to Have Background in music production, sound design, or live performance Experience developing lesson plans or structured programs for young learners Real-world DJ or performance experience Why Join Sound Club?
