Prom Advisor Responsible for the following using the class funds that were raised during their middle school years. Hires the DJ. (Depending on class funds, assistance may be needed to cover this cost as well.) Hires a photographer. Meets with the junior class to pick a theme for prom. There are several meetings with the kids as well as google docs for their responsibilities for prom. (Sign up for decorating, grand march questions, permission slips, etc.) Buys the decorations if the class funds allow. (Depending on the funds, assistance may be needed to help cover these costs.) Chaperones the set-up of decorations the week of prom after school. (Parents are welcome to come help and assist as much as they like. Many hands make light work.) Helps the students plan the grand march, then sets it up. Chaperones photos, the grand march, and dance. Reminds everyone this is an event for the kids, we all rock at making it a fun and safe event for all. Keeps everyone safe and happy until handing off to the post prom committee for the rest of a great night!
