Job Description

The Rockford Rivets are actively seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Stadium Operations Interns for the upcoming season at Rivets Stadium. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing various aspects of game day operations, hospitality areas, and overall ballpark functionality. You will also contribute to pre and post-game ballpark cleanup and assist with coordinating external events. Stadium Operations Interns have a significant impact on creating an exceptional Rockford Rivets fan experience. This unpaid summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August, requiring interns to be available for all home games (36) and any additional events assigned during the season. The Stadium Operations Intern will report directly to the Stadium Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Assist in stocking, preparing, and presenting the ballpark, concessions stands, and hospitality areas. Participate in the daily maintenance of the ballpark and equipment on both game and non-game days. Demonstrate knowledge of all game-day activities and specialties. Manage hospitality areas, ensuring guest requests are fulfilled. Be prepared to step into various game day staff roles as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Ability to take direction and successfully complete assigned tasks. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends. Capability to delegate tasks to game-day staff effectively. Preferred knowledge or experience in Hospitality, Event Management, and/or Food & Beverage. Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and great attention to detail. Ability to make decisions and problem-solve in high-pressure situations. Strong multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills. Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, reach, and stand/move for extended periods.
