Job Description
DJ Jansen | Wedding & Event Entertainment DJ Jansen is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and energetic Event Setup & Teardown Assistant to help with wedding and event production throughout the season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys live events, music, weddings, and working behind the scenes to help create an incredible experience for guests. What You'll Do Assist with loading and unloading DJ and event equipment Help transport equipment from the vehicle/trailer into the venue Set up speakers, DJ equipment, lighting, wireless microphones, dance floor lighting, and other event equipment Assist with cable management and keeping the setup clean and organized Help tear down and safely pack equipment at the end of the event Load equipment back into the trailer/vehicle Work efficiently while following instructions and established setup procedures Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working at wedding venues Occasionally assist with other event production tasks as needed What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual — this is extremely important Comfortable lifting and carrying event equipment Able to work efficiently and pay attention to detail Professional appearance and attitude Comfortable working around weddings and large events Able to follow directions and work independently once trained Previous experience with event production, DJ equipment, AV, or live events is a plus, but not required Must have reliable transportation to and from the meeting location/venue Schedule Most shifts will be wedding/event days , primarily evenings and weekends. Start times will vary depending on the event. Setup is typically several hours before the wedding, with teardown occurring immediately after the event. This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time/event-based work with the potential for consistent weekend opportunities throughout wedding season. Physical Requirements This job involves frequent lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of equipment. You should be comfortable handling equipment weighing approximately 50+ lbs and being on your feet for extended periods. Compensation $100 minimum every time we set up and tear down plus travel depending on how far of a drive it is! Some events you may make up to $300 in one day! This would be for no more than 4.5 hours of work! Why Work With DJ Jansen?
