Part-Time Festival Presenter for Sunday, Sept. 6

Description:

Our clothing swap will feature interactive booths for repairing clothes, dying them with plants, silk-screen ing, and making bioplastic from fruit skins in addition to hands-on classes. Together, we will bring themunity together to envision a livably fashionable future. Please fill out this application if you would like to be considered as one of our four presenters,who will be paid an honorarium of $110. We are looking for individuals that can give a presentations between 45 minutes to 1.5 hour, engaging the audience in either a hands-on class related to the subject of textile or plastic waste. This could take the form of a technical skill, a class aboutmunityanizing, or a preview of technology — we are very open to ideas as long as they related back to reducing waste or sustainability meaningfully. You may also to be an ambassador at the event,pensated at $24 per hour for four to eight hours. This application is open until Friday, August 14th at 11:59pm. Please as soon as possible.

We will notify applicants of their status by Monday, August 17th.

Qualifications:

• Reliable:

  Able tomit to the date of the event and give a prepared, professional presentation
• Emphasis on interaction: Excited to engage with the audience by asking them questions, break out discussion groups, and hands-on materials for your presentation
• Passion and knowledge on a sustainability topic, from waste toanizing to policy to earth science and beyond!
