Job Description
WGME is seeking an experienced Floor Director to join our Operations team for evening newscasts. The ideal candidate has experience in a live studio environment and is familiar with the logistical and operational aspects of video, audio, and lighting systems. You must have great attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare and maintain the live studio for newscasts Keep track of broadcast cues and talent positions in studio Assist talent and guests with microphone and other equipment Move and position multiple studio cameras and set pieces Modify and program lighting panels for special events or studio functions Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of studio space and equipment Maintain a safe studio environment with responsibilities around trip hazards and set safety Prepare and guide studio guests from standby locations to on-air interviews or segments Support operation of the station by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments Other duties as assigned
