Job Description

Join the St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club for a summer internship to gain vast behind-the-scenes experience in the sports industry. The Rox are an industry leader in fan support, winning, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff. The Rox have a proven track record of providing interns with hands-on experience and knowledge that will be useful in competing for jobs in the sports industry. Many former Rox interns have obtained a full-time job with sports organizations after their internship. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, a strong communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, has an eagerness to learn, and possesses the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude. The Rox will work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary. This position starts in May and lasts through mid-August.
Reports to:
General Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all player equipment
  • Help clean and maintain uniforms and equipment as needed throughout the season
  • Maintain the home and visiting clubhouse, ensuring they are clean, organized and ready before and after each game
  • Assist players, coaches, and umpires with equipment needs and requests during games
  • Support on-field activities, promotional events and community initiatives as needed
  • Work closely with Athletic Trainer to ensure water coolers, ice and other necessary supplies are available throughout games and practices
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to success
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organized
  • Ability to work extended hours
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast paced, time-sensitive environments
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting
  • Availability to work Rox home games, which includes some nights and weekends
