is seeking a part-time weekend Master Control Operator to work in television broadcasting in Columbia, Missouri.
Job Description:
Master Control Operators have the primary duty of managing the playlists for each channel NPG of Missouri operates. This includes ensuring the lists are on the playlist event that matches the correct event for the time of day, moving commercial inventory around due to live event coverage, and recovering channel playouts in the event of power/weather causing outages. Other duties include accurately retrieving and dubbing in commercial spots, coordinating with news on programming shifts due to network live events, and communicating with the Broadcast Operations Center in Colorado Springs, CO on events being handled locally, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have the ability to work independently and to operate under pressure. Being able to do mental time calculations is preferred. Should be detail-oriented and organized and capable of multi-tasking. Punctuality and consistent attendance are musts. Must have computer skills and familiarity with a variety of software.
Hours/Schedule:
Part-time, Saturday-Sunday hours from 11am-11pm with some flexibility required by the employee.
