2 at middle level; one at high school level Role Overview The 5th Grade Camp Committee Representative plays a key role in planning, organizing, and executing a memorable outdoor education camp experience for the graduating 5th-grade class. Working alongside the camp director and school staff, you will manage logistics, design student activities, and ensure all prep work stays on schedule. Committee members are required to attend 5th Grade Camp.
Key Responsibilities Meeting Participation:
Attend regular planning sessions, transitioning from monthly meetings in the fall to weekly check-ins as camp approaches.
Logistics & Scheduling:
Collaborate on camp itineraries, bus schedules, group rotations, and housing or cabin assignments.
Activity Coordination:
Help design, organize, and facilitate daytime educational workshops and evening camp events (e.g., campfires, talent shows, team-building games).
Supply & Budget Management:
Source, purchase, and organize required gear, craft supplies, and event materials within the designated budget.
Communication:
Assist in keeping teachers, administration, and 5th-grade parents updated on key deadlines, permission slips, and packing requirements.
