Job Description

The position of Master Control Operator is responsible for the day to day broadcast of all four of KMOS-TV's channels. Students will work in our state of the art On-Air Operations facility (Master Control). You will be trained by the existing students and professional staff in all of the equipment and procedures necessary to provide error free PBS and university programming to the residents of central Missouri. This position provides flexible scheduling between 7am and midnight seven days a week, including times when classes are not in session (holiday breaks, summer, etc). Currently seeking students with Summer availability. We welcome students from all majors, not just those in the broadcasting field. Duties Include:
Monitoring of KMOS-TV's four broadcast channels Reviewing and editing of channel playlists Quality check of programs going to air Notifying supervisor and engineers of on-air issues Compiling weekly promos
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Currently Enrolled in UCM courses
Experience:
Word-Processing, Spreadsheet No prior experience is necessary; we are happy to train interested students. Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal Sensory abilities: special vision and/or hearing requirements (specify), Human Relations/Interpersonal skills Irregular work hours, Professional appearance
Working Days and Hours:
Flexible scheduling between 7am and midnight seven days a week No more than 20 hours a week
