Manager, Clubhouse Summary:
Dugout attendants are responsible for pregame preparation of the dugouts, in-game duties for the baseball teams (i.e. equipment retrieval from the field, organization of player gear in the dugout, etc) and postgame cleaning of dugouts for Omaha Storm Chasers events.
Responsibilities:
Rubbing and mudding up baseballs that will be used in-game Furnishing home plate umpire with baseballs throughout the course of the game Setting up dugouts and bullpens after batting practice with coolers, gum, seeds, towels, coffee, etc. Cleaning dugouts and bullpens at the conclusion of the game, including trash and debris on floors and fixtures Retrieving foul balls Retrieving bats after the play has concluded Other assistance with clubhouse duties as requested by clubhouse managers
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must be willing to submit to a background screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screen Knowledge of baseball and baseball rules Quick reactions and ability to think and act spontaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work with a sense of urgency Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability and willingness to work at least 50% of events at Werner Park, including nights, weekends and holidays Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
