//vimeo.com/1012489292 We are seeking a part-time venue property steward to assist with preparing & closing the venue at Waterloo Village (Stanhope, NJ), conducting operational tasks during weddings and other events to ensure a smooth guest experience, and overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of this property. Key Responsibilities Ensure the event spaces at Waterloo Village (525 Waterloo Rd, Stanhope, NJ 07874) are taken care of and equipment is in their current locations with correct inventory amounts. Oversee venue setup prior to scheduled events and moving equipment like tables, chairs, setting up firepit, etc. Address any maintenance or operational issues that may arise during events (i.e. electrical needs for ceremony areas). Transporting guests in a golf cart around the venue. Oversee end-of-night cleanup after breakdown to ensure the venue is returned to its original condition. Serve as a key holder for the venue, responsible for opening and closing procedures on wedding days. Schedule Expectations Our season runs from March to November. Thursday to Monday availability. 10-12 hour shifts; 10-30 hours weekly. Total hours and specific days depend on where we are in the season and may be modified to fit the needs of our business. Qualifications Valid driver's license and your own vehicle to drive to the venue or vendor sites. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, walk and stand for 8+ hours, and perform manual labor. Handle last minute changes in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working outdoors rain or shine. General Handyman skills are preferred but not required. Compensation $17/hr Cash gratuities when working events. Possibility of advancement within JAM and off-season work. Get your schedule 4 weeks in advance.
