Syracuse, NY Job Details Per diem $17.50 - $20.50 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description 1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - Inner city of Syracuse (DJ- WG) 64 male, inner city of Syracuse is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist Teach skills for independent living, Teach positive communication skills, Teach money management skills and Teach skills for independent living; Com-Hab would like to work with Wilferd to help him create a grocery list for when he goes out into the community to shop. He enjoys attending church and going to the library. When it is nice out, he likes to go for walks and spend most of his time outside. The ideal candite is required to have patience, as this person has a hard time remembering things. The ideal candidate should be good at reminding him and calling ahead of schedule outing to make sure he is prepared. The ideal candidate should also be good at facilitating conversations when needed due to his memory loss he sometimes needs help with piecing together his thoughts verbally. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Start time and hours are flexible, up to 30hours a week.
Starting pay:
CH1 $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
Location, Syracuse NY Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. Must have a valid drivers license Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
