Job Description:
The Syracuse Crunch are looking for outgoing individuals with energetic personalities who have a passion for hockey to join the Crunch Crew promotional team. Participants should have strong communications skills, the ability to interact with fans in front of a large audience, and be able to tolerate a loud environment with bright lights. The Crunch Crew will be an integral part of the Crunch's on-ice entertainment and fan experience along with serving as Crunch representatives at multiple community events. Team members will greet fans at the Upstate Medical University Arena, participate in in-game promotions and help maintain the energy at all Crunch home games.
Responsibilities:
Set up on-ice and off-ice promotions. Execute multiple promotions and events during the pregame, the post-game, timeouts, media stoppage and intermissions. Assist in set-up and distribution of promotional materials for door giveaways. Greet and interact with fans throughout games and at community events. Select fans to participate in promotional activities. Assist with generating brand awareness at non-game events (community appearances). Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older/ have proper NYS employment certification. Conduct/behavior that adheres to the organization's core values, mission and vision. Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work days, nights and weekends as needed. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Commitment and dedication to a team environment. Must have reliable transportation.
Time:
Can include days, nights and weekends. Ability to work scheduled home games, as well as postseason contests. Crunch home games vary in start time. For 7 p.m. home games, work will begin at 5:00P.M. and run through 10:30P.M. The schedule follows the same format for other start times.
Compensation:
Two complimentary tickets to home games while working. Hourly compensation for games and events worked.
