Position Information Requisition Number Stu798P Position Type Student Worker Department Department of Student Workers Job Title Student Worker - Game Day (Athletics) Classification Student Worker Pay Rate $9.00 Position Summary Information Hours per week Up to 20 hrs/week - Hours may vary based on gameday events Days Worked Flexible Hours/Shift worked Flexible Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Game Management Staff is an essential part of every athletic event at Millersville University. The responsibilities of the Game Management Staff include, but are no limited to: ball retreivers, field preparation, assembly, and parking lot monitor. Required Qualifications Must be dependable and responsible. Applicant must be available to work nights and weekends. Flexible work schedule - contests and events are held late in the afternoons and into the evenings, as well as weekends. Office hours can be completed upon request. Positive attitude and assertiveness are a must, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff, coaches, and students. Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints) Preferred Qualifications Job Duties Assist with game set-up and break down; serve as crowd control; support staff for select sporting events (i.e. ball person for men's and women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball, baseball, and softball, requires standing and ability to be mobile). Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Applicant must have the ability to lift 15 pounds.
