Position Information Requisition Number Stu811P Position Type Student Worker Department Department of Student Workers Job Title Student Worker-Tutor for Math Tutoring Academic Year 2026-2027 Classification Student Worker Pay Rate Starting rate $10.00/hour Position Summary Information Hours per week Up to 20 hrs/week Days Worked Flexible Hours/Shift worked Flexible Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Tutoring Center is hiring students for individual and/or group tutoring in the following subject areas- Math Required Qualifications Refer to 'Job Description' for tutor responsibilities for group and individual tutoring. Tutors must have earned a B+ or higher in the courses they tutor. Must complete the three required clearances PA Criminal Background Child Abuse FBI Fingerprint Preferred Qualifications Job Duties Tasks include but are not limited to: Contacting individual tutees and arranging sessions. Maintaining records for group tutoring sessions. Preparing for tutoring sessions. Promptly report hours, tutee attendance and other information as needed via email to the Tutoring Center and Learning Services. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Be able to sit and work with students during entire tutoring session. Posting Open Date 09/08/2026 Posting Close Date 04/30/2027 Special Instructions to Applicants Previous experience is not required. After successfully completing 10 hours of tutoring, we offer Tutor Training Level 1 and Level 2 to tutors. Tutors are paid to attend the trainings and will receive an hourly wage increase upon successful completion of each level. Applicants must upload their most current My MarAUDIT report.
