Job Overview:
Connoisseur Media Amarillo is looking for an energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Street Team & Board Operator to help bring our stations to life both on the air and in the community. You will represent
KGNC 97.9
(KGNC-FM), 100.9 The Eagle (KXGL-FM), 102.9 The Rattler (KVWE-FM), and NewsTalk 710 & 97.5 KGNC (KGNC-AM) at concerts, festivals, live broadcasts, sporting events, and community appearances while also helping keep our stations sounding their best behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
Represent our stations at live broadcasts, concerts, festivals, sporting events, and community events.
Set up and tear down promotional equipment, including tents, banners, sound systems, tables, and displays.
Engage listeners through contests, prize wheels, games, giveaways, and on-site promotions.
Make announcements using microphones and PA systems while creating an exciting event atmosphere.
Drive station vehicles and transport promotional equipment to and from events.
Operate the on-air control board for live and syndicated programming.
Run live sports broadcasts, programming, commercials, and station breaks with accuracy.
Monitor automation systems, transmitters, and studio equipment to ensure smooth broadcasts.
Maintain broadcast logs and accurately report discrepancies.
Follow FCC regulations, EAS procedures, and station operating standards.
Communicate effectively with station management regarding technical or programming concerns.
Work collaboratively with promotions, programming, sales, and engineering teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:

Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Valid driver's license and current auto insurance (must be able to drive a company vehicle).
Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred for events where alcohol is served).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in radio, promotions, live events, sports broadcasting, or media.
Experience operating radio automation systems such as Marketron or similar software.
Familiarity with FCC rules and EAS requirements.
Experience with social media platforms, WordPress, or digital content creation.
Passion for music, sports, entertainment, and connecting with the local community.
