Our work extends beyond traditional catering. We consider food, presentation, service, space, timing, and guest flow as interconnected elements of the experience. From intimate celebrations and weddings to corporate gatherings, brand experiences, conferences, and large-scale productions, our approach is intentional, our execution precise, and our standard unwavering. At Knife & Faulk, exceptional food is only the beginning—we create experiences that feel considered, polished, and effortless to the guest. The Role The Event Producer owns the successful production of each assigned Knife & Faulk event from sales handoff through post-event closeout. Once the vision has been established, you translate it into a detailed plan and carry it through with precision—connecting the client, venue, culinary team, service team, vendors, and countless details required to bring the experience to life. On event day, you are Knife & Faulk's lead on-site representative and the person the room looks to for direction. You know the event intimately, anticipate what comes next, verify the details before they matter, and lead with a sense of calm that allows both the client and the team to experience confidence in the execution. This is a hands-on hospitality role. You are as comfortable directing a production team and navigating a last-minute change as you are speaking with a client, inspecting a plate before service, resetting a room, or stepping into service when the moment requires it. What You'll Do Take ownership of assigned events from sales handoff through post-event closeout, translating the approved vision into a comprehensive production and execution plan. Conduct venue walkthroughs and coordinate event logistics, including access, load-in, setup, rentals, equipment, vendors, service flow, breakdown, and other site-specific requirements. Serve as the primary client-facing production contact leading up to and throughout the event, confirming details, communicating clearly, and creating confidence at every stage. Lead on-site execution from kitchen load-out through setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring teams understand the plan, timing, responsibilities, and Knife & Faulk service expectations. Know each event's menu in detail—including ingredients, allergens, presentation, and service style—and ensure the on-site team is prepared to speak about it accurately and confidently. Verify culinary presentation, service readiness, event spaces, team appearance, and guest-facing details before they reach the client or guest. Anticipate changes in real time and make decisive adjustments that protect the event experience without allowing the pressure behind the scenes to become visible to the guest. Lead from within the operation, stepping into service, bartending, setup, breakdown, or other areas of execution when necessary to protect the success of the event. Document event outcomes accurately and participate in post-event reviews, providing a clear account of what occurred, what worked, what did not, and what should improve for future events. The Standard You Bring ◦ Owns the outcome — Takes responsibility from handoff through closeout without waiting to be managed, checked on, or reminded. If the event is yours, its successful execution is yours to protect. ◦ Reports what is true — Communicates what actually happened—good or bad—with clarity and immediacy. You understand that accurate information allows the organization to make better decisions, and you never manage the narrative at the expense of the truth. ◦ Makes hospitality feel personal — Knows the menu, the client, and the room well enough that service feels intuitive and genuine. Warmth is not an extra touch; it is how the Knife & Faulk experience is delivered. ◦ Is the last check before it matters — Verifies the details before they become guest-facing. You do not assume something is ready because it should be; you know because you have seen it. ◦ Lets nothing fall through — Brings the same discipline and attention to an intimate dinner as a large-scale production. Complexity may change, but the standard does not. ◦ Sets the tone without commanding the room — Leads with clarity, confidence, and presence. Your team knows what is expected, where they need to be, and what comes next without leadership becoming disruptive to the experience. ◦ Moves with urgency, never anxiety — Responds quickly when timing matters while maintaining composure. The team may understand the urgency; the client and guest should never feel the rush. ◦ Keeps judgment clear under pressure — Thinks beyond the immediate problem, assesses what matters most, and makes sound decisions when conditions change. The composure others see comes from clarity underneath it. Schedule & Availability This is an event-driven role requiring flexibility for daytime, evening, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour schedules based on event and operational needs. Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of off-premise catering or event production experience, including loading from a production kitchen and executing events on-site with transported equipment, food, and supplies Demonstrated experience leading on-site event teams and coordinating vendors Strong working knowledge of event setup, service, breakdown, production flow, and off-premise catering logistics Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed production plans, changing priorities, and time-sensitive execution Strong client-facing communication and hospitality skills Experience with event management software and Google Workspace Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Current Food Handler and TABC certifications, or ability to obtain them within the required timeframe Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform the physical requirements associated with event setup, service, and breakdown Comfort with Canva or similar basic design tools
