Operations Manager (Part Time) The Garden Studio, LLC Denton, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $20 - $30 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Dusting Route driving Logistics Driver's License Manual handling Full Job Description Job Summary The Operations Manager assists with the creative design, installation, placement, and maintenance of the health and beauty of indoor plantscapes. This role splits time between routine horticultural care at client accounts and executing new plant installations or replacements.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Logistics New setups: Assist with the design of new interiorscapes. Unloads, positions, and installs new interior plants and containers according to design plans.Replacements:
Swap out declining or dead plant material with fresh specimens.Transport:
Safely load and transport plants and tools between the showroom and client locations. Maintenance & Care Watering and feeding: Check soil moisture levels and apply correct amounts of water and fertilizer.Grooming:
Prune dead leaves, clean and dust foliage, and shape plants for optimal appearance.Pest and disease control:
Monitor for pests or disease, treat issues early, and report major problems.Rotation:
Rotate potted plants periodically to ensure even growth and light exposure.Client Relations Communication:
Maintain polite, confidential and professional interactions with clients on-site.Reporting:
Track notes on plant health, and report any property damage or client requests. Qualifications & Skills Horticulture knowledge: Understanding of indoor plant lighting, watering needs, and soil types.Physical stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Driver's license: Valid driver's license with a clean record to drive to multiple client stops around the metroplex.Independence:
Capacity to work well alone on a daily route or collaborate during large installations.Creative Design:
Assists with the design of interiorscapes using appropriate plants and containers.Other Location:
The showroom is located in Denton, Texas and the ideal candidate will live in or near Denton.Advancement:
The position has the opportunity to advance to full-time at some point in the future.Salary and Benefits:
The position will be classified as an "Independent Contractor" and paid an hourly rate. No benefits will be provided.Mileage:
Mileage between the showroom and client locations will be reimbursed at the current IRS-approved mileage rate.Pay:
