Job Description

Peri & Sons Farms is seeking applications for a full-time AgTech Drone Operator in El Centro, California, working with our Farm Systems team.
Position Summary:
This position supports agricultural operations by operating drones to collect field data, capture imagery, and assist with routine field needs. The role is trainable and requires agricultural knowledge, comfort with technology, and the ability to learn new software. Work includes both office tasks and outdoor field activities. This position is responsible for ensuring the functionality and efficiency of systems in order to support business and agricultural needs. Some of the job functions include: Operate drones to capture images and collect field data. Assist with basic flight planning and pre-flight checks. Upload and organize imagery and data in company software. Perform simple inspections and routine care of drone equipment. Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation. Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Agricultural experience or familiarity with farm operations. Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 certification through company training. Comfortable using technology, apps, and software. Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position works in both an office setting and outdoors in agricultural fields. Office work involves routine computer tasks in a climate-controlled environment. Field work may include exposure to varying weather, uneven terrain, dust, and nearby farm equipment. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. Some flexibility in schedule, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, may be needed based on operational needs.
Compensation:
