About the

Company:

DEXA is a fast-growing last-mile logistics company that uses airborne autonomous drones for local package delivery. Drone delivery provides low-cost same-day delivery for retailers nationwide that is contactless, safe, and eco-friendly. As part of our expanding operations, we are looking for Visual Observer, (VO), to assist with drone flights under FAA Part 107 regulations. A Visual Observer is responsible for assisting the drone (UAS) delivery operations team. Visual Observers support drone pilots in all aspects of ground and flight operations. A successful visual observer should be versatile and excel in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team to plan and analyze flight missions. Assist team in performing preflight, in flight and postflight checks and procedures. Responsible for charging and loading batteries, and loading payload. Help team prepare for flight launching and landings. Communicating with other pilots or flight crews to coordinate flight operations Aid team in monitoring weather conditions to ensure safe flight operations. Adhere to airspace rules and regulations to help team avoid collisions with other aircraft. Coordinating with other crew members to plan and carry out missions.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED certificate.

Preferred Requirement:

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot Certificate also known as the UAS Part 107 license. Experience with UAV's and unmanned vehicle software is preferred. Ability to work well with a team. Ability to withstand environmental conditions with duties performed outside of the office. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion and stand/walk for up to 8-10 hour per day.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
