Instruction is delivered through a blend of classroom, hands-on exercises and field demonstrations at NMTIMT's Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) in Socorro, NM or at a local, state, or tribal emergency responder unit locations. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation. Travel is required to support resident and mobile course offering(s)

Responsibilities :

The candidate must be a drone subject matter expert and capable of providing instruction across a wide area of UAS, Counter-UAS technologies and threats Able to conduct research and identify resources relevant to DART training, threat mitigation, as well as counter technologies and strategies Proficient with and able to instruct on real world topics such as: Detection strategies Identification methods Threat assessment Practical response techniques Review course materials to ensure conformance with US law, regulations and compliance with FAA, DOW, DHS, and FBI Participate in curriculum development and updates based on lessons learned and NMIMT and
