Senior Social Editor Lead at Horizontal Talent Senior Social Editor Lead at Horizontal Talent in CULVER CITY, California Posted in 7 days ago. $23.00 - $54.00 per hour We are seeking a Senior Social Editor Lead to guide short-form social clipping production for a fast-paced entertainment and media environment. In this role, you will combine creative editorial judgment, workflow management, and AI-powered tooling expertise to help deliver high-quality clips across leading social platforms. Responsibilities Review and refine clip outputs from junior editors to ensure strong pacing, platform fit, and alignment with campaign goals Provide clear creative direction on clip selection, timing, framing, and text placement Oversee daily clip production across multiple titles, brands, and time-sensitive cultural moments Translate briefs from social strategy partners into prioritized assignments for the editing team Monitor output volume, turnaround times, and workflow capacity, escalating constraints as needed Help develop and maintain SOPs for an AI-assisted clipping workflow Partner with publishing teams to support smooth asset handoff and delivery Use advanced AI clipping tools and contribute ideas for improving prompts, shortcuts, and overall workflow efficiency Support onboarding, coaching, and calibration for social editors to help maintain consistent quality standards Produce clips directly when needed to support deadlines or complex requests Skills 5+ years of experience in social media content creation, video editing, or social publishing Strong understanding of short-form video best practices for platforms such as Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching junior creative team members Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle high-volume, fast-moving work Hands-on experience using AI-powered creative tools, automated editing tools, or NLP-based workflows Ability to give specific, constructive creative feedback and maintain high quality standards Strong understanding of social content performance drivers and platform-native formats Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Preferred Skills Experience in entertainment, media, or streaming content Editorial judgment that elevates work beyond basic execution Comfort working in a high-volume environment without losing attention to detail Ability to turn strategy into clear and actionable creative guidance Experience collaborating with product or engineering teams on tool feedback and workflow improvements Horizontal Talent is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where every individual feels respected, supported, and empowered to contribute.
