Job Description

Leading TV & streaming content creator is looking for a fast, creative Editor to join our team on a comedy clip show. If you have impeccable comedic timing, love finding the funniest moments, and know how to keep audiences engaged with tight pacing, we'd love to hear from you. This is an in-person position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Edit comedy segments using pre-selected clips and original host-wrap footage. Create engaging cold opens, teases, and transitions. Enhance jokes through pacing, timing, music, sound effects, and graphics. Work closely with producers to shape episodes and hit creative deadlines. Incorporate notes quickly and efficiently during review rounds. Organize project files and maintain a clean editing workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro & AVID (After Effects experience is a plus). 5+ years of professional editing experience in television, digital media, or online content. Excellent sense of comedic timing and storytelling (know how to turn a good moment into a great laugh). Experience editing clip shows, sketch comedy, late-night, viral content, or social-first entertainment is highly preferred. Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

BONUS SKILLS

Motion graphics and animation. Color correction and audio sweetening. Familiarity with media management and collaboration workflows. Knowledge of current internet culture, viral videos, memes, and pop culture.

POSITION DETAILS

Freelance - 5 to 7 weeks (with potential for ongoing work) In Person (not a remote positon)

Rate:

$2500-$4000/week DOE References upon request August 3rd Expected Start Date Please include a reel or portfolio showcasing comedy, entertainment, or fast-paced editing work.
