Job Description

Job Summary:
Under the direction of pagination and editing teams, the Editorial Assistant will fulfill multimedia duties for digital publications. Overnight and weekend shifts. 16 - 20 hours a week. Recent college graduates or soon-to-be graduates are encouraged to apply. This is a good opportunity for candidates seeking a career in journalism.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Find, process, and attach photo galleries, videos and other multimedia to stories.
  • Under direction, assemble and produce sports agate pages for print and digital publications.
  • Assist with other newsroom tasks as directed.
  • Ensure accuracy with all tasks and meet all deadlines.

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:
  • High interest in news and knowledge of sports, culture, business and other content.
  • Proficiency in digital apps or publishing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
