JOB SUMMARY
Seeking highly organized and team-oriented individual to provide general administrative support. Duties may include but are not limited to: generating testimony templates and assisting with testimony submission, generating bill trackers using legislative database, monitoring and calendaring hearing notices, supporting scheduling overflow as needed, assisting with meeting preparation, other clerical/administrative duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Above average organizational skills for prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact with a diverse group of clients and staff.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to compose correspondence, with strong command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style.
  • Able to observe confidentiality in client matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and other system utilities/document production software.
  • Ability to work without a specific routine, sometimes under strict time constraints, which at times may exceed 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. Possess flexibility in daily work schedule around breaks and lunch period.
  • Experience with Hawaii State Legislature is preferred but not required.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
