In this role, you will oversee the creation, editing, and publication of engaging sports content across multiple platforms, including digital, social media, and broadcast. Your expertise in journalism, multimedia production, and social media management will drive compelling stories that resonate with our diverse audience. Duties Develop and curate engaging sports stories, articles, and features that align with journalistic standards and AP style guidelines. Edit and proofread articles and social media posts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Manage social media platforms by creating timely content, engaging followers, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize reach. Conduct research on sports topics, verify facts through diligent fact-checking processes, and ensure all content adheres to journalistic integrity. Utilize digital journalism tools for content editing, story pitching, and multimedia storytelling to enhance audience engagement across channels. Qualifications Proven experience in broadcast journalism or digital journalism with a strong portfolio of sports coverage. Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail in copy editing and proofreading. Ability to tell compelling stories through multimedia formats—writing articles, capturing photographs—while maintaining journalistic integrity. Experience in research methods to gather accurate information and verify facts before publication. Familiarity with AP style guidelines for consistent journalistic writing standards. Digital journalism experience combined with excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams effectively. $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
