Celebrate Gettysburg magazine is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and marketing savvy individual to join our team! The Editorial Intern will assist the editor and creative director with social media, content marketing for clients, blog writing, proofreading, internal marketing efforts, research, and other editorial responsibilities, as needed. The Editorial Intern will gain hands-on, practical experience in magazine publishing, and learn the ins and outs of putting together a bimonthly magazine, from conceptualization to final production. This person will also assist with various marketing projects for a local nonprofit—Survivors.

Responsibilities May Include:

Researching and writing content for Celebrate Gettysburg print and online editions, including Spotlights and Department articles, event calendar, and online exclusive stories Assist with social media management including copywriting, editorial calendar creation, research, and image gathering Write and/or edit materials for Celebrate Gettysburg and our clients including advertisements, articles, blog posts, emails, website copy, and more Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to translate marketing goals into messaging concepts General research tasks for various projects Continuously brainstorm and suggest new ideas and marketing activities for Celebrate Gettysburg Attending and assisting with fun community events, including bi-monthly Behind the

Cover Desired Skills & Experience:

Studies in English, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field Self-motivated, possessing great oral and written communications skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, or InDesign a plus The Editorial Intern position can be used for credits.
