Pacific Northwest Media Group is looking for an experienced, driven and digital savvy journalism leader MyBellinghamNow.com, our local online news site. The editor is responsible for the publication of all site content including newsletter; for working in partnership with the content team; and collaborating with advertising and broadcast teams to ensure a robust news site that meets the communities needs.

Typical duties will include:

Designing, overseeing and implementing content and workflows to ensure efficiency and utilization of content across platforms. Using sound judgement to make editorial decisions on site content Representing the site to the community in public and on social media Planning and conducting weekly meetings with journalists to review metrics and discuss content plans Using digital tools to analyze site metrics in order to inform decision-making Managing app, app notifications and producing daily/weekly newsletter Creating video and/or graphics as needed The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
• Three or more years of journalism experience
• Top-notch writing and editing ability
• Ability to handle or direct multiple projects at once
• Skills to create an effective, collaborative and supportive environment
• Active engagement in social media platforms
• The ability to learn and adapt quickly to emerging technologies

Salary Range:

$50,000

• 65,000 DOE.

This is an in-person position and reliable transportation is required.
