This role will manage product development across bedding, towels, sheets, jacquards, textures, and performance fabrics, with a strong focus on creating commercial products that work within target costing and manufacturing requirements. This person will partner closely with sales for buyer meetings, work directly with factories and overseas mills, and move concepts through sampling and production. The role requires someone who can take directions, make informed decisions, and keep home development moving forward with strong technical and creative judgment. Responsibilities Own daily home category development across bedding, towels, sheets, jacquards, woven textures, and performance fabrics Work with sales to prepare for buyer meetings and support line presentation needs Travel for NYC appointments, market week, and international vendor/trend trips, including setup and visual storytelling Communicate directly with factories and overseas mills to develop products within costing and manufacturing constraints Create production-ready CADs, repeats, colorways, and spec packages Review samples, issue comments, manage color approvals, and support QC through production Conduct trend and market research to inform seasonal direction and commercial opportunities Maintain organized files, switches, and development assets to keep projects moving efficiently Collaborate with the Design Manager to align on brand direction, priorities, and final approvals What You Bring 5+ years of experience in home textiles or product development Strong technical knowledge of fabric construction, jacquards, dobby weaves, yarn systems, and finishing Ability to independently execute development with some team support Experience working with overseas factories and managing sampling and production follow-through Strong understanding of costing, commercial products, and development within budget Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Benefits
