SKIES ARE BLUE

is a fast-growing women's contemporary wholesale apparel brand based in Los Angeles. Our trendy, easy-to-wear collections are sold at departments stores and more than 2,500 boutiques nationwide. We're looking for a highly organized Design Room Assistant to keep our design room running smoothly, from the first sample arriving to the final line going out. What You'll Do Receive, log, tag, and organize incoming samples, fabric swatches, trims, and lab dips Track sample status and development deadlines, and follow up with overseas vendors by email on pending items Enter and maintain style information (style numbers, colors, fabrics, costs) in our system and in Excel Prepare and ship sample and swatch packages to vendors and buyers Pull and prep samples for fittings, trade shows, showroom appointments, and photo shoots Assist during fittings by prepping garments and recording notes Light Photoshop work such as resizing, cropping, and basic cleanup of style and sample images for line sheets and internal use Keep the design room, sample racks, and fabric library clean and organized Support the design team with day-to-day tasks as needed What We're Looking For Extremely organized with strong attention to detail, comfortable tracking many styles at once Clear written communication for daily vendor emails Proficient in Microsoft Excel and email Basic Adobe Photoshop skills (required): cropping, resizing, simple image edits Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, seasonal environment Reliable team player with a positive, can-do attitude Experience at an apparel company (design room, production, or showroom) is a plus Basic knowledge of fabrics and garment construction is a plus Adobe Illustrator is a plus, not required Benefits Health insurance Employee discount Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid Vacation If you love fashion, thrive on organization, and want to learn the full development cycle at a growing brand, we'd love to hear from you

Pay:
