Job Description

About Patchington At Patchington, our love for the resort lifestyle is contagious! Since 1969, we've grown from a local garage hobby into a premier women's boutique brand with locations throughout Florida. We specialize in "fashion, friendship, and fun," providing our customers with stylish, packable, and wrinkle-free travel clothes. We are a woman-founded, community-focused brand that believes every woman deserves to look great and feel comfortable, whether she's on a cruise or at a local charity fashion show. The Role We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Fashion Design Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to see how a resort wear collection moves from concept to boutique floor. You won't just be getting coffee; you'll be assisting with trend research, fabric selection for our "Travel Pod" collections, and helping us maintain the high standard of style and comfort our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities Design Support:
Assist in sketching and developing seasonal resort wear concepts using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Trend & Color Research:
Stay ahead of the curve by researching upcoming prints, color palettes, and silhouettes that align with the Florida resort lifestyle.
Fabric & Trim Sourcing:
Help manage our library of wrinkle-free and UPF 50+ fabrics. Coordinate with suppliers to request samples for new "Destination" collections.
Technical Design:
Assist in creating tech packs and detailed flat sketches for production.
Sample Management:
Organize and track incoming prototypes; assist during fit sessions to ensure silhouettes are flattering and comfortable.
Showroom & Events:
Provide creative support for our monthly community fashion shows and help prepare presentation boards for seasonal line reviews. Qualifications Currently enrolled in (or a recent graduate of) a Fashion Design or Apparel Program. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop are a must). A strong eye for print, color, and textile performance (specifically travel-friendly fabrics). Basic understanding of garment construction and the "Patchington Fit." Excellent communication skills and a "can-do" attitude-we are a small, collaborative team! Perks Generous employee discount on Patchington styles. A fun, supportive work culture where "It's All About You!"
