DESIGN ASSISTANT

Weaver Apparel LLC is a global manufacturing partner specializing in private label and branded apparel production at scale. In addition to supporting client brands, the company develops its own in-house labels, providing real-time insight into product performance, pricing, and market trends. With operations across Jordan, Vietnam, and India, Weaver Apparel combines speed, scale, and precise execution to bring collections to market efficiently. Role Description The Design Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role supports the design team in developing apparel concepts, preparing technical sketches, and organizing design assets for seasonal collections. Daily tasks include assisting with CAD drawings and graphic layouts, updating design boards and line sheets, coordinating samples, and maintaining organized digital and physical files. The Design Assistant will collaborate with cross-functional partners such as production and customer service teams, help prepare materials for presentations and client meetings, and provide general administrative support to ensure projects move forward on schedule. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Candidates should possess foundational Interior Design and Graphic Design skills, with an eye for aesthetics, color, and visual storytelling relevant to apparel and branding. Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related design software to create technical drawings and visual assets. Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of apparel design, textiles, and garment construction; prior experience or education in Fashion Design or a related field is beneficial. Candidates should possess competency in common office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
