This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced designers, contribute to the development of new collections, and gain valuable industry experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate about fashion, with a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment. Duties Assist in the creation and development of fashion designs, including sketching and conceptualizing new ideas. Support the preparation of technical packages (tech packs), ensuring accurate specifications for production. Collaborate with the team on sourcing fabrics, trims, and other materials necessary for design execution. Communicate with customers via email and phone calls as needed to gather feedback or clarify design requirements. Help coordinate fittings and review samples to ensure designs meet quality standards. Maintain organized records of design files, tech packs, and sample tracking. Contribute to trend research and mood board creation to inspire new collections. Perform sewing tasks when required; sewing skills are a plus and may be reflected in pay. Experience Previous experience or coursework related to fashion design is preferred. Familiarity with creating tech packs is a plus. Strong communication skills for contacting customers via email and phone calls. Sewing skills are advantageous and will be considered favorably during the hiring process. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is beneficial but not mandatory.
