Emily Caslli is an American artist and designer whose interdisciplinary practice combines chemistry, textile innovation and couture. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, her work has been featured in Paper Magazine, Schön! Magazine, Narcisse, and Hypebeast, and has been worn by artists including Julia Fox and Eartheater. Design Studio Intern — Emily Caslli Emily Caslli is seeking a Design Studio Intern to assist with the day-to-day development and production of garments and experimental fashion projects in our Northern Virginia studio. This is a hands-on position ideal for a fashion design student interested in couture, garment construction, corsetry, and the process of developing work from concept through finished piece.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with garment construction, hand sewing and finishing Patternmaking, draping, cutting, and sample development Assisting with fittings and preparing garments for fittings and photoshoots Preparing fabrics, trims, patterns, samples, and materials for production Assisting with prototypes and design development Supporting photoshoot preparation and on-set needs Assisting with preparation of garments and materials for NYFW presentation and other studio events Organizing fabrics, trims, patterns, samples, and studio materials General hands-on studio and production assistance as needed Ideal Candidate Current fashion design or related student with basic sewing and garment construction skills. Experience with industrial sewing machines, patternmaking, or draping is a plus but not required. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, reliable, and excited to learn through hands-on work in a small independent fashion studio. Schedule & Academic Credit This is an internship offered for academic credit only. Interns are generally expected to work 2-3 days per week in the studio, with scheduling flexible around class schedules and the internship hour/credit requirements of the student's school. We are happy to coordinate with the student's academic program to fulfill required internship hours and documentation.
