We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of professional floral design experience who has a strong knowledge of flowers and understands the day-to-day workings of a busy floral shop. The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, organized and self-motivated, with a strong eye for color, texture and composition. Because we are a small team, we're looking for someone who is happy to be involved in all aspects of the shop—from designing and caring for flowers to helping customers, maintaining displays and pitching in wherever needed. Responsibilities

• Design fresh floral arrangements for everyday orders, special occasions, weddings and events
• Work confidently with a wide variety of flowers, foliage and seasonal product
• Properly process, condition and care for fresh flowers
• Maintain the quality and freshness of floral inventory
• Assist customers in person and over the phone with excellent, friendly service
• Accurately take and communicate customer orders and special requests
• Operate Square POS and process customer transactions
• Create and maintain beautiful retail and floral displays
• Receive, unpack, price and merchandise gift and floral products
• Keep the design area, flower cooler and retail shop clean, organized and well maintained
• Assist with wedding and event preparation, packing, setup and breakdown as needed
• Pitch in with the everyday tasks that keep a small floral shop running smoothly Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of professional floral design experience required
• Strong knowledge of flower varieties, floral design techniques, flower processing and proper care
• Strong sense of color, texture, proportion and contemporary floral design
• Retail display and merchandising experience
• Excellent customer service and clear communication skills, both in person and over the phone
• Comfortable using Square POS
• Working knowledge of Excel and Canva
• Social media and content creation experience is a plus
• Organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
• Dependable, flexible and willing to jump in where needed
• Weekend and holiday availability as needed
• Positive attitude with a "no problems, only solutions" mindset Physical Requirements
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Able to lift and carry flower buckets, boxes, arrangements and event materials up to 40 lbs
• Able to bend, reach, lift and move comfortably throughout the workday
• Assist with loading and unloading flowers, supplies and event pieces
• Comfortable assisting with wedding and event setup and breakdown, which may include working outdoors and walking or carrying items across larger venues

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 35.0 per week
