We're a collaborative, hardworking team of people who care deeply about flowers, craftsmanship, and taking excellent care of our clients. We're looking for an experienced Floral Designer who shares those values and enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment. About the Role We're seeking a reliable, efficient Floral Designer with strong hands-on design experience, particularly in retail and memorial florals . This role includes in-studio floral design as well as occasional delivery and on-site installation. The right candidate should have a strong understanding of both the artistic elements of floral design — line, color, texture, depth, proportion, and balance — and the practical side of the work, including flower care, seasonality, mechanics, and designing efficiently within a recipe or budget. Our studio is busy and highly collaborative, so we're looking for someone who is confident working independently while also being happy to jump in wherever the team needs help. What You'll Do Design retail, memorial, and event arrangements according to recipes, photos, budgets, and client specifications Create polished, consistent work while maintaining an efficient production pace Deliver and install floral designs at venues throughout Orange County Assist with memorial installations and deliveries, which may involve entering service spaces where the deceased is present; applicants should be comfortable working respectfully in this environment (please do not apply if this is outside your comfort zone) Process and care for fresh flowers and greenery Prep mechanics and floral materials for upcoming events Perform quality control on completed designs before they leave the studio Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming workspace Help with general studio and production needs as required We'd Love to Meet Someone Who Is Kind, positive, and empathetic Highly dependable and punctual A strong communicator Customer-service oriented Collaborative and team-minded Comfortable working independently Calm and resourceful when plans change Able to problem-solve and improvise in a fast-moving environment Detail-oriented while still working efficiently Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional floral design experience Strong retail floral design skills; memorial floral experience is highly desirable Valid California driver's license and clean driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods Fluent in English Dependable attendance and punctuality Flexible availability, including weekends Typical workdays may include Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays , although schedules vary depending on our event and order volume. Weekend flexibility is especially important. Hours may fluctuate from week to week, and occasional schedule changes are part of event-based floral work. In return, we try to offer our team as much flexibility as our production schedule allows. Schedule This position generally ranges from: Part-time during our slower season: approximately January-March Full-time or near full-time during our busy season: approximately March-December Exact hours vary depending on event and order volume. Compensation $20-$25/hour , based on floral design experience, design speed and efficiency, technical skill, and level of responsibility.
