About French Florist French Florist is a floral boutique reimagining what it means to give and receive flowers. Our handcrafted arrangements are intentionally designed by expert floral designers using only the highest-quality blooms. We are on a mission to create a more loving and compassionate world through flowers, delivering emotion, meaning, and magic with every arrangement. As we prepare to open our brand-new Los Gatos boutique, we're looking for a talented and customer-focused Floral Designer / Boutique Associate to join our growing team. This is a cross-functional role where every team member contributes to creating an exceptional customer experience. You'll work closely with our Lead Floral Designer while helping build a new boutique from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Floral Design Create floral arrangements following French Florist recipes and quality standards. Process, hydrate, and care for fresh flowers and plants. Prepare bouquets, vase arrangements, sympathy designs, and seasonal products. Maintain the freshness, quality, and presentation of flowers throughout the day. Assist with holiday production and special event preparation. Customer Experience Welcome customers and provide exceptional in-store service. Help customers select floral arrangements, gifts, and add-on products. Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries. Enter customer orders accurately using our POS system. Resolve customer questions with professionalism and care. Boutique Operations Receive and process flower shipments. Merchandise floral displays, plants, and gift items. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming boutique. Assist with inventory counts and restocking supplies. Support opening and closing procedures. Team Support Support the Lead Floral Designer with daily production and flower care. Assist with local deliveries using the company vehicle or approved delivery methods, as needed. Assist with weddings, installations, and special events as business needs require. Learn and apply French Florist design standards and recipes. Contribute wherever needed to help the team deliver an exceptional customer experience. Who You Are You have previous floral design experience in a retail shop, event, or studio environment. You have a passion for flowers, creativity, and beautiful design. You provide outstanding customer service with a warm and professional attitude. You are dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You are comfortable performing a variety of tasks throughout the day. You are eager to learn and grow with a growing company. You are comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting flower buckets, boxes, and other supplies. You are available to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
