We're looking for someone who already has hands-on floral design experience and can confidently work with fresh flowers, while also enjoying the customer-facing and day-to-day responsibilities of a boutique environment. This is a great opportunity for a designer who enjoys creating beautiful arrangements but also likes being part of the entire shop experience — helping customers, preparing flowers, organizing inventory, and keeping the boutique ready for each day. What You'll Do Create floral arrangements for everyday orders, celebrations, sympathy, holidays, and special occasions Follow French Florist recipes, reference designs, and quality standards Process and condition incoming flowers, including trimming, hydrating, cleaning, and proper storage Help customers in person and by phone with orders and flower selections Enter and manage customer orders using our ordering/POS systems Receive flower and supply deliveries and help maintain inventory Restock vases, floral supplies, packaging, and other shop materials Keep the design area, flower cooler, and boutique clean and organized Help prepare orders for pickup and delivery Work closely with our Lead Floral Designer and the rest of our boutique team Assist wherever needed during busy days and floral holidays What We're Looking For Previous hands-on floral design experience Good understanding of floral mechanics, flower care, proportions, and basic design techniques Ability to recreate arrangements from photos and recipes while maintaining consistent quality Willingness to learn and follow French Florist design standards Friendly and professional communication with customers Comfortable answering phones and using computers/POS systems Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable standing for extended periods, processing flowers, lifting boxes/supplies, and performing the physical tasks of a working flower shop Availability around major floral holidays is important Schedule This position is primarily part-time , with the possibility of additional hours depending on store needs, holidays, and seasonal volume. We are especially interested in candidates with flexible weekday and Saturday availability. Occasional Sunday availability may be needed around major floral holidays.
